  • A BBA degree is for students who are interested in managing their own companies. In the area of Business Management and Entrepreneurship, the BBA offers in-depth knowledge and skills.

  • For students interested in a career in finance, taxation, or accounting, the degree is the right course.

  • In terms of course structure, BCom and BBA are quite similar. In general, BCom focuses more on theory than the professional and real-world application of subjects.

  • However, BBA includes practical applications, and students are taught through case studies and projects. To allow students to compare BBA and BCom course structures, we have shown their respective syllabuses here.

  • Which field you choose is entirely up to you. You can choose the field that suits your skills or you can choose the field according to your preferences.

Between the two courses, one of the main differences is the career prospects each offers.

  • BBAs can direct students to a career in management.

  • Many career paths are open to those with a BCom degree, such as CA, Company Secretary, etc.

  • Students who are interested in the field of commerce, want to gain a deep understanding of its various aspects, and are also interested in numbers can take a BCom course.

  • It can be easier to get into only the management profession if you are interested in developing the necessary skills.

  • BBA is a professional course that includes plenty of workshops and case studies. Students may therefore think that it is easier to get high results in their qualifying exams with this course.

  • However, BCom provides students with deep knowledge in the field and prepares them for a variety of career options.

  • Furthermore, students with a BCom degree can pursue postgraduate studies in management and law after graduation. However, students with a BBA degree cannot pursue an MCom, and the prospects for higher education can seem limited.
