To open doors to management studies at the best institutions in India, XLRI, Jamshedpur conducts the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) annually.

The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is an entrance examination for university-level programs conducted by XAMI on behalf of XLRI. Students can apply to Xavier School of Management's management programs using their XAT scores. Additionally, candidates can use their XAT scores to gain admission into a range of other top B-Schools across the country.  Registration for XAT 2022 has started on 4th August 2021and the examination date has been announced. According to the XLRI Jamshedpur statement on July 29, the 2022 XAT will be held on January 2. The exam date and the registration date were announced simultaneously by the institute.

XAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria

  • In order to appear in the XAT 2022 exam, there is no age restriction.
  • According to XAT Eligibility Criteria 2022, a candidate is eligible to appear in XAT 2022 as long as they have a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline whose length is at least three years.
  • There is no difference between XAT and XLRI eligibility for admission in 2022. The XLRI PGDM program also does not impose a minimum mark requirement in accordance with the XAT eligibility criteria 2022.
  • NRIs and foreign candidates are eligible to apply for the XAT exam through their valid GMAT scores.

XAT Registration and Application Procedure

The registration process for the XAT 2022 (Xavier Aptitude Test-2022) is expected to begin on September 10, 2021. The registration fee is Rs.1750/- that is supposed to be paid through the online official website. The registration deadline for the XAT online test 2022 is November 30, 2021 midnight, after that, a late fee will be levied.

  • Step1- Candidates need to log in to the official website after the registration portals open for applications. The candidate, then just click on the ‘ New Candidate’s Registration’ and register with the relevant details. Upon completing the registration process, candidates will receive an SMS with their User ID and password. Users can then log in with these details and proceed with the application process.
  • Step2- After the candidate logs in using his or her user ID and password, the page is redirected to the application form and the candidates must fill-up the form with the required details. Details include name and application sequence, gender, contact details, email address, address information, etc. In addition, the candidates will need to upload scanned copies of certain documents, such as passport photos, along with their signature. 
  • Step3- Next, candidates must fill in their academic details. These include details on their secondary and intermediate marks, their bachelor's degrees, their master's degrees, all other professional degrees, etc. Following that, candidates should select "Save and Continue.".
  • Step4- Candidates must also upload the required documents after filling in their XAT application details online. In order for their forms to be accepted, candidates should check all the specifications before uploading their documents. Once the correction window opens, users may be asked to edit their uploaded files again. Document verification will be done later in the admission process.
  • Step5- XAT 2022 application fees can be paid after candidates upload their required documents. Following payment submission, candidates must wait until the server responds. The candidate should avoid pressing the back or refresh buttons to prevent payment cancellation and double payment. Payments can be completed by generating an e-receipt. The payment might have been canceled if no e-receipt has been generated.
  • Step6- After verifying and assuring that all of the details are accurate, the candidates must submit the XAT application form 2022. Any changes made to an application form after submission cannot be altered. Late fees will be charged to candidates who fail to submit their application forms for XAT 2022 by the last date.

XAT Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The XAT exam is administered online and consists of 100 multiple-choice questions to be answered within 180 minutes. XAT has a sectional time limit, so candidates are advised to allocate time for each section separately so they can complete the paper in time. One mark is awarded for each correct answer, and 0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer.
